Reign of the Supermen #176: Doomsday of the Fifth Dimension

Source: Action Comics Annual #6 (1994)
Type: ElseworldsWhat if Superman's rocket landed in the 5th Dimension?
Based on: Man of Steel #1
The true history: Baby Kal-El rockets from the doomed Krypton and lands on Earth, where it is raised by Ma and Pa Kent to become... Superman!
Turning point: What if the rocket was diverted to the 5th Dimension?
Story type: Ridiculous
Altered history: The rocket gets caught in a wormhole and whirls around for 29 years before landing in the Fifth Dimension with an adult Superman aboard. He's huge to the 3-inch Imps, speaks only Kryptonian, breaks everything he touches, and is immediately dubbed "Doomsday" by the frightened citizenry. It is only under the leadership of Mr. Mxyzptlk, King of the Fifth Dimension, that he is finally defeated. Though it does take a moment to find the proper weapon. Raspberries aren't it.
A good knock on the head from a troll does the trick, however, and Doomsday is stuffed into his rocket once more and catapulted out of Dimension 5. As the Imps start work on filling in Doomsday's footsteps, they take the time to remember their King Mxy for the hero he truly is.
Books canceled as a result: None. Mxyzptlk's 4½ titles* are still going strong. Not to mention his various mini-series and specials every year.
These things happen: To anyone who dares stomp around the Fifth Dimension without permission from the great Mxy. Tell your friends.
